I'm Kerri Tennant. My goal is to facilitate aquarium and fish health education and bring more awareness to the fantastic fishkeeping hobby. Since childhood, I have passion for this hobby; my bedroom as a kid-filled was with tanks full of guppies and snails. I developed a passion for aquariums from my father. I have always watched and wanted to help stock his 30-gallon tank; I hope to pass this same love to my family and the next generation, including my son.
Having a desire to promote and help cultivate a passion for fishkeeping for all experience levels of aquarium hobbyists. A desire that manifested while working on my General Biology Degree at Drury University, graduating Cum Laude in 2017. Researching Guppies, how stress influenced Guppy fry, I fell more in love with the fish keeping hobby, especially Guppy Fish and all livebearers. Slowly growing the fish room to 25+ aquariums: ranging from 5-gallons to a 180-gallon, including multiple large and small outside breeding tubs and one koi pond. However, while researching in college, I stumbled upon the fish community on youTube and created ScienceGal Aquatics. It was a place where it did not matter if you are brand new to keeping fish or have been caring for them for as long as you can remember. A community where together we can foster a love for fishkeeping/ aquarium hobby by sharing what we know with each other, growing a knowledgeable, far-reaching community. I invite you to Engage in the conversation and Subscribe to ScienceGal Aquatics on youTube.
